Our pizza business started long before we ever sold a single slice. My dad, John, grew up in a tiny Neapolitan village tucked up in the mountains — the kind of place where everyone knew how to make good food. When he moved to England, he brought those traditions with him, not realizing at the time how important they’d become for our wood-fired pizza.
Growing up, I watched him and my grandparents constantly cooking. From a young age, I got pulled into it too, and a passion for our shared culture and food was born. We built our first oven in the garden and spent years experimenting with pizza recipes, arguing over tiny details, and celebrating whenever we finally nailed something. Bit by bit, we developed what we now call our authentic family recipe — something that feels true to where Dad came from, but also very much ours.
And then… the garden night happened.
It was one of those warm evenings where everyone was relaxed, the oven was hot, and maybe we’d had a couple more drinks than planned. We made a few pizzas for friends, and someone joked that we should start offering Neapolitan pizza catering. Another person agreed. Suddenly, the idea didn’t sound ridiculous — it sounded fun.
The next morning, surprisingly, it still sounded fun.
So we went for it.
What started as a slightly drunken conversation turned into a real family business. We kept making pizza the way we loved it, and people started loving it too. The reviews have been amazing, the support has been unreal, and somehow that silly garden moment became the beginning of something we’re genuinely proud of.
Now it’s simple: Dad and I make pizza the way we think pizza should be made, and we even provide pizza event catering to share our passion with others.
